August Newsletter

Fresh Commits, Just for You

The summer has flown by, and as usual, we have been cooking up some good stuff for you in the Scout kitchen.

We have been rolling out log management to customers, and we have received some great feedback. We'd love to have you join the party!

Our next exciting offering is the Errors Management Beta. Is it the bread, the peanut butter, or the jelly? We aren't sure, but we do know that errors, logs, and traces make a tasty stack. If you're ready for a taste test, get in touch.

I hope the end of August/beginning of the Fall/back-to-school season is treating you well!

Click Here to Join the Error Monitoring Beta!

The dream team, all of your error reporting, logs, and application monitoring data in one app! Take it for a spin and let us know what you think.

  • Group errors intelligently by location and type
  • Notify your dev teams via email, Slack and more
  • Triage effectively - assign, manage notifications, and prioritize Error Groups

Customer Spotlight: Chaskiq

Chaskiq is an open-source platform that connects and empowers support, sales, and marketing teams to communicate with their customers.

Within days of deploying Scout, Chaskiq began seeing measurable improvements across their app, and realized there was no comparison to Scout's ability to catch bottlenecks and performance abnormalities easily.

The result? Performance improved 2x. We love to hear it.

We've been (remotely) connecting with people all over the software universe lately, and we've published the last part of the series of our chat with Freedom Dumalo, former CTO at Flexcar and current CTO at Vestmark. We discuss some essential questions about architecture, touch on Rails, Turbo, and Stimulus, and the key considerations for those starting off before they lock in an architecture or tech decision. Read that and more on our blog.

Happy Scouting,

Sarah
